REGULAR MEETING OF THE TUSTIN COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY

CALL TO 'ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Potts at 7:12 p.m.
at the Council Chambers, 300 Centennial Way, Tustin, California.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES - NOVEMBER 1, 1993 REGULAR MEETING
It was moved by Pontious, seconded by Puckett, to approve the
Redevelopment Agency Minutes of November 1, 1993.
Motion carried 5-0.
APPROVAL OF DEMANDS
It was moved by Pontious, seconded by Puckett, to approve Demands
in the amount of $335,138.49.
Motion carried 5-0.
TUSTIN CIVIC CENTER - POLICE DEPARTMENT WEIGHT ROOM, APPROVAL OF
DESIGN REVIEW AND AUTHORIZING BID ADVERTISEMENT
Christine Shingleton, Assistant Executive Director, reported the
weight room would be located in the northwest corner of the lower
level of the Civic Center parking structure; was available for use
by all City employees; and the Agency had previously approved asset
forfeiture funds for purchase of weight equipment.
It was moved by Puckett, seconded by Thomas, to adopt the following
Resolution No. RDA 93-16 approving plans and specifications for
subject project and directing the City Clerk to advertise for bids:

RESOLUTION NO. RDA 93-16 - A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING DESIGN REVIEW FOR THE
ADDITION OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT WEIGHT ROOM WITHIN THE EXISTING
PARKING STRUCTURE AT 300 CENTENNIAL WAY, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
CLERK TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS
Motion carried 5-0.
DESIGN REVIEW 93-19 - BAGEL ME! RESTAURANT, 13682 NEWPORT AVENUE
(APPLICANT= GARY MCGILL)
Christine Shingleton, Assistant Executive Director, reported the
applicant proposed a bagel and yogurt restaurant in an existing
building located at the southeast corner of Andrews Street and
Newport Avenue. She stated the Planning Commission had approved a
variance reducing parking requirements from ten spaces to six
spaces to accommodate 30 restaurant seats; and noted various
proposed exterior site improvements.
Chairperson Pro Tem Saltarelli said he was pleased that staff and
the applicant were able to work together and resolve issues related
to this project.
It was moved by Thomas, seconded by Pontious, to approve Design
Review 93-19 by adopting the following Resolution No. RDA 93-17:
RESOLUTION NO. RDA 93-17 - A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING DESIGN REVIEW 93-19
AUTHORIZING THE EXTERIOR REMODELING OF AN EXISTING COMMERCIAL
STRUCTURE LOCATED AT 13682 NEWPORT AVENUE
'Motion carried 5-0.
INDEPENDENT TESTING LAB AND ASBESTOS CONSULTANT - TUSTIN CIVIC
CENTER EXPANSION/RENOVATION
Christine Shingleton, Assistant Executive Director, reported that
due to additional on-site testing services necessary for the Civic
Center projeCt, a change order .in the amount of $5,866.48 was
required to finalize contract service costs to Wyman Laboratories.
It was moved by Puckett, seconded by Pontious, to authorize a
change order in the amount of $5,866.48 to finalize the cost of
contract services previously awarded to Wyman Testing Laboratories.
Motion carried 5-0.
OTHER BUSINESS - None
Chairperson Potts adjourned the meeting at 7:15 p.m. The next
regular neeting of the Redevelopment Agency was scheduled for
