RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council set the terms of
Tustin Community Foundation.

FISCAL IMPACT: None.
BACKGROUND:
At its last meeting, the City Council ~ade its appointments to the
Foundation. Article V, Section 3, of the Foundation's Bylaws provides
that each Board member shall serve for a tern of three years, except
that the first seven members appointed to the Board of Directors shall
be assigned initial terms as follows:
Three to have three-year terms
Two to have two-year terms, and
Two to have one-year terms
All subsequent appointments shall be for three year terms, varying the
terms of the initial Board members provides for staggered terms in
future years.
With the appointment of the Board of Directors, the City Council needs
to fix the terms, per the above. The City Council can use whatever
method it deems appropriate for setting the ~erms. The Board members
are:
Councilmember Jeffery Thomas
Councilmember Charles Puckett
Cheryl Bell
James Farley
Terry Riggins
Richard Scherr
Margarete Thompson
Tustin Community Foundation

October 12, 1993. The Board appointed its officers as follows:
