FINAL ACCEPTANCE OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS FOR EDINGER AVENUE
SUBJEC~ REHABILITATION BETWEEN JAMBOREE ROADAND 2410 + FEET WESTERLY
(PROJECT NO. 700001)
RECOMMENDATIONS
It is recommended that the City Council, at their meeting of July 6,
1993, adopt the attached resolution accepting said work and authorizing
the recordation of the Notice of Completion.
Assuming no claims or stop payment notices are filed, it is further
recommended that 35 days after the date of recordation of the Notice of
Completion, the Council authorize payment of the final 10% retention
amount of $17,241.83. This amount, together with previous payments of
$155,176.46 represents 100% of the final contract amount.
FISCAL IMPACT
A total of $148,000.00 was allocated for this project in the 1992-93 CIP
Major Maintenance Program. The final construction cost for this project
is $172,418.29 which will be distributed as follows:
City portion ........................................ $140,379.79
Developer portion ................................... 32,038.50
Final contract amount ............................... $172,418.29
The final contract amount is 1% under the original contract amount of
$174,191.82.
BACKGROUND
This project provided for overlaying Edinger Avenue from Jamboree Road
to 2410'± westerly on both the westbound and eastbound sides, removal of
the eastbound bike lane and reconstructing it with the recommended
structural section for a future eastbound travel lane along with'
providing new pavement striping and raised pavement markers.
This project encompassed portions that were the responsibility of the
developer of Jamboree Plaza and the City has already been reimbursed by
the developer.
The work on this project has been completed by All'American Asphalt,
Inc. to the satisfaction of the Engineering Division.

RESOLUTION NO. 93-69
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN,
CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING WORKS OF IMPROVEMENT AND
AUTHORIZING RECORDATION OF NOTICE OF COMPLETION FOR THE
EDINGE~ AUENUE REHABILITATION - BETWEEN JAMBOREE ROAD AND
2410 + FEET WESTERLY (PROJECT NO. '7.00001)
WHEREAS, Ail American Asphalt, Inc., having a contract
with the citY of Tustin to construct the hereinafter described
public work and improvement; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has duly certified to the
construction and completion of said public improvements
hereinafter mentioned in a manner satisfactory to the City of
Tustin; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that said contractor has
completed said public improvements more particularly described
in accordance with the provisions of the contract documents
and the Notice of Completion and acceptance of said public
work and improvement shall be filed and payment of the balance
due of said contract authorized in accordance with the
contract documents:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Tustin that said public work and improvement be, and
the same is hereby accepted. Said public work and improvement
is more particularly described as follows:
Edinger Avenue Rehabilitation - between Jamboree Road
and 2410 ± feet westerly (Project NO. 700001)
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the City Engineer of the City
of Tustin be and is hereby authorized to execute and file a
Notice of Completion and acceptance of said public work and
improvement described herein as required by law.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Tustin held on the 6th day of July
1993. ,
