PROJECT, 1992-93 FY
RECOMMENDATIONS
It is recommended that the City Council, at their meeting of July 6,
1993, adopt the attached resolution accepting the works of improvement
and authorizing the recordation of the Notice of Completion for the
subject project.
Assuming no claims or stop notices are filed, it is further recommended
that 35 days after the date of recordation of the Notice of Completion,
the City Council authorize payment of the final 10% retention amount of
$2,109.35. This amount together with the previous payment of
$18,984.15, represents 100% of the final contract amount of $21,093.50.
FISCAL IMPACT
The final cost of this project is $21,093.50. This amount represents an
increase of 2.2% over the original contract amount of $20,637.20. The
actual amount of sidewalk placed in the field was greater than the
contract estimated amount. This project has been funded with SB821
funds in the amount of $13,070.00 for F.Y. 1992-93, with the additional
funds coming from the F.'Y. 1992-93 Public Works Department, Street
Division Budget Account No. 4030-6235 - Sidewalk Construction until such
time monies can be replaced from the Senate Bill 821 program for F.Y.
1993-94.
BACKGROUND
This project consisted of the construction of new PCC sidewalk and
access ramps in the industrial area of westbound Walnut Avenue, between
New Myford Road and the east side of the railroad crossing.
This work has been completed to the satisfaction of the City Engineer.

RESOLUTION NO. 93-70
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN,
CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING WORKS OF IMPROVEMENT AND REPAIR AND
AUTHORIZING RECORDATION OF NOTICE OF COMPLETION FOR
SIDEWALK AND ACCESS RAMPS, SB.82i PROJECT 1992-9~ FY,
WHEREAS, Grigolla & Sons Construction company, Inc.,
having a contract with the City of Tustin to construct the
hereinafter described public work and improvement; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has duly certified to the
construction and completion of said public improvements
hereinafter mentioned, in manner satisfactory to the City
Council of the City of Tustin; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that said contr'actor has
completed said public improvement hereinafter more
particularly described in accordance with the provisions of
the contract documents and the Notice of Completion and
acceptance of said public work and improvement should be filed
and payment of the balance due said contract authorized in
accordance with the contract documents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Tustin that said public work and improvement be, and
the same is hereby accepted' Said work and improvement is
more particularly described as follows:
The Construction of new sidewalk and access ramps
on Walnut Avenue;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City
Engineer of the City of Tustin be, and is hereby authorized to
execute and file a Notice of Completion and acceptance of said
public work and improvement described herein as required by
law.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Tustin held on the 6th day of July
1993. ·
