Ordinance No. 1456 ■ Creates an expedited, streamlined permitting process for solar PV and solar thermal systems. A complete application will be plan checked and permits issued within three days. ■ Provides an expedited inspection process. Only one inspection will be required unless corrections are required at the time of that inspection. ■ Substantially conforms to the recommendations, standard plans, and checklists found in the Office of Planning and Research's Solar Permitting Guidebook. ■ Itis the Building Division's current practice to perform all inspections within 24 hours of request. Ordinance No. 1456 ■ A public notice was published in the Tustin News on June 25, 2015, informing the public of the City Council public hearing for proposed CA 2015-002. ■ A copy of the staff report and proposed CA 2015-002 was forwarded to the Chamber of Commerce, the OCFA and City Attorney prior to the City Council's hearing on the matter. The City Attorney has reviewed and approved Draft Ordinance No. 1456 as to content and form. Ordinance No. 1456 Recommendation ■ That the City Council introduce and read by title only Ordinance No. 1456 and set the matter for second reading at the regular City Council meeting on July 21, 2015.
