Tom Saltarelli, Mayor and Members of the Tustin City Council 300 Centennial Way Tustin, California 92680 _RECEIVED Re: Dinosaur Dash IV A Benefit for the Tustin Public Schools Foundation Dear Mayor Saltarelli and Members of the City Council: We want to again thank the City for its outstanding support of last year's Dinosaur Dash, which raised more than $22,000 for our Tustin schools. Dinosaur Dash IV is being planned for November 13, 1994, and, as in the last three years, we once again request the assistance of the City. City staff has annually set out traffic control devices for the race and removed them afterwards, and Police/Explorer presence is needed as deemed appropriate by the Police Chief. Since we will use the same course as in past years', traffic engineering staff involvement will be minimal. Community Services acts as our liaison with all other City departments. We also respectfully request that the Council once again waive the applicable fees for any required permits (Temporary Sign, License to Operate, and Charitable Solicitation) and authorize the use of staff time as described above. Should you have any question or require any further information regarding Dinosaur Dash lV, please contact the Tustin Public Schools Foundation at your convenience. Very truly yours, TUSTIN-PUBLIC SCHOOLS FOUNDATION .... ~INDk JENNIN/GS~, ?ExEcuTIVE . I DIRECTOR /
