DEPART FROM TUSTIN CITY HALL PARKING LOT AT 5:00 P.M. TOUR DESTINATIONS: 5:20 p.m. - Greenwood in Tustin Legacy Clubhouse (250 Downs Road); 550 p.m. - Anton Legacy Apartment Homes & Victory Park (3100- 3300 Park Avenue); 6:20 p.m. — Amalfi Apartment Homes (16000 Legacy Road); 7:OOpm — return to City Hall 7:30 p.m. CALL TO ORDER: Thompson Due to the tour of the Tustin Legacy sites earlier that evening, Chair Thompson apologized to the audience for the delayed start of the meeting. Given INVOCATION/PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Kozak ROLL CALL: Present: Chair Thompson Chair Pro Tem Lumbard Commissioners Kozak and Smith Excused Absence: Altowaiji PUBLIC CONCERNS: James Maring, resident at 13691 Green Valley Drive, in general, voiced his concern/opinion on apartments, along with his opinion on the lack of concern from renters and cleanliness, to the Commission with regards to the proposed apartment development at Red Hill and San Juan. CONSENT CALENDAR: Approved. 1. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - JUNE 97 2015 PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING. RECOMMENDATION: That the Planning Commission approve the minutes of the June 9, 2015 meeting as provided. Minutes—Planning Commission Special Meeting—July 28, 2015—Page 1 of 2 Motion: It was moved by Lumbard, seconded by Kozak, to approve the June 9, 2015 Minutes. Motion carried 3-0-2. Smith recused himself and abstained from the vote. None. PUBLIC HEARINGS None. REGULAR BUSINESS None. STAFF CONCERNS: COMMISSION CONCERNS: Kozak Kozak commended staff and property owners for the tour of Tustin Legacy sites. He attended the following events: • 6/11: Tustin's State of the City • 6/13: Tustin Police Department's Open House • 7/6: Tustin City Council / Planning Commission Workshop • 7/16: California Preservation Foundation webinar at Tustin City Hall Smith Smith had no concerns and he echoed comments previously mentioned by Kozak regarding the tour. Lumbard Lumbard echoed comments previously mentioned regarding the tour, along with favorable comments on the projects and City staff. He attended the July 6, 2015 City Council / Planning Commission Workshop. Thompson Thompson echoed comments previously mentioned. He attended the following events: • 6/16: Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) with OCTA for the Bicycle Ad Hoc Committee • 6/29: Thompson was reappointed to the CAC • 7/15: CAC Meeting — OCTA's Freeway Program • 7/16: Fire Station #56 Grand Opening in South County (Sendero) Thompson also announced the City's upcoming Art Walk on October 17, 2015. 7:45 p.m. ADJOURNMENT: The next regular meeting of the Planning Commission is scheduled for Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chamber at 300 Centennial Way.
