SUBJECT: ADVERTISING BUS SHELTERS REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
(P.W. FILE NO. 1092)
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council receive and file this report.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact at this time.
BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION
At their November 1, 1993 meeting, the City Council received a schedule
for the advertising bus shelter program. Since that date, the schedule
has been revised to provide additional time for staff review and
preparation of the Request for Proposal (RFP).
The final draft of the RFP has been completed and will be submitted to
the Planning Commission for their review at their March 28, 1994
meeting. The RFP will then be presented to the City Council with any
changes at the April 18, 1994 meeting for review and approval.
Attached is a revised schedule reflecting the above review dates, as
well as the RFP circulation dates, response review, and anticipated City
Council award of franchise.
CONCLUSION:
With the final draft of the RFP scheduled for Planning Commission and
City Council review, staff anticipates no further delays in completion
of the RFP process.
