AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR WATER MAIN REPLAC~\fENT FOR NEWPORT AVENUE AND WARREN AVENUE- Project No. 600101 February 22, 1994 Page 2 DISCUSSION: This project consists of replacing a deteriorating 16-inch r/vetted steel main (installed in 1907) in Newport Avenue from north of Foothill Boulevard to south of Warren Avenue, and the installation of a new main in Warren Avenue from Holt Avenue to Newport Avenue. These lines will tie into the existing water system mains and reservoirs, and will interconnect with the city's pressure zones.
