HUSTON, CITY MANAGER PERSONNEL SERVICES RESOLUTION NO. 94-28, COMPENSATION OF CONFIDENTIAL EMPLOYEES RECOMMENDATION- That the City Council adopt Resolution No. 94-28 relating to the compensation of confidential employees. FISCAL IMPACT: The cost of granting confidential employees a two and one-half percent increase is approximately $3,737 for calendar year 1994. The cost of adjusting the flexible benefits amount for the employee plus one level is approximately $276 for the 1994 calendar year. The total cost for the 1994 calendar year is approximately $4,013. DISCUSSION: At the present time there are only four employees in the Confidential employee unit. It is customary to increase confidential employees' salary range equal to increases given general employees. The attached resolution accomplishes this. The change in the flexible benefits amount is also equal to that proposed for the general employees, Bettie Correa Senior Personnel Analyst BMC2:94-28CNC.RPT 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 2O 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 94-28 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA RELATING TO THE COMPENSATION OF CONFIDENTIAL EMPLOYEES WHEREAS, the City now desires to provide increases in compensation to its employees and modifications to the flexible benefits plan as a result of conference with respective Department Heads, and subsequent to recommendations of the City Manager. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Tustin, California, does hereby resolve as follows: Section 1. Compensation provisions: Effective December 24, 1993, existing salary range of all Confidential employees shall be increased by two and one-half percent (2.5%). Section 2. Flexible Benefits: Effective August 1, 1994, Flexible Benefits Contributions by the City will be amended to be as follows: Employee Only Employee plus One Dependent Employee plus two or more dep. $267.00 $350.00 $478 Section 3.
