HUSTON, CITY MANAGER FROM: PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/ENGINEERING DIVISION SUBJEC~ AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR ANNUAL ASPMALT CONCRETE PAVEMENT REPAIR PROGRAM RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council, at their meeting of January 17, 1994, award a contract to All American Asphalt in the amount of $199,900.00. FISCAL IMPACT: .~ The bid price for this contract is $199,900.00. Currently there is $230,000.00 in the 1993-94 FY.budget. · BACKGROUND: Bids for the subject project were opened December 28, 1993. The~. ~ were three (3) bids received and the results were as follows: Ail American Asphalt, Corona .................... $199,900.00 Hardy & Harper, Inc., Santa Ana ................... 248,355.00 Excel Paving Company, Long Beach ................ 376,950.00 The references submitted by Ail American Asphalt were contacted and the comments received were all highly favorable. This is an annual repair program under a proposed three year contract with each year renewable upon satisfactory performance by the Contractor and with prices adjusted according to the Consumer Price Index (CPI).
