HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC MINUTES 1977 01 05 MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING TUSTIN CITY COUNCIL January 5, 1977 CALL TO ORDER Meeting called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor Edgar, in the City Council Chambers, Centennial at Main, Tustin. II. ROLL CALL Present: Councilmen: Edgar, Sharp, Saltarelli, Welsh, Schuster. Absent: Councilmen: None. Others present: William L. Bopf, City Administrator Ruth C. Poe, City Clerk III. NEW BUSINESS 1. E.D.A. GRANT - PUBLIC WORKS YARD Mr. Bopf stated that correspondence had been received stating that Grant must be accepted and delivered to Seattle office by January 7, 1977. Mr. Bopf explained that the EDA had placed the requirement for a traffic signal at Service Road and Red Hill Avenue. In answer to questioning, Mr. Bopf stated that exact type of signal had not been specified and that details could be negotiated later as to timing, etc., of light. RESOLUTION NO. 77-1 A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Tustin AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT THE OFFER OF GRANT AS OFFERED BY THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATION OF THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE. Moved by Welsh, seconded by Sharp~ that Resolution No. 77-1 be read by title. Carried unanimously. Moved by Welsh, seconded by Sharp, that Resolution No. 77-1 b~ passed and adopted. Carried. Ayes: Edgar, Sharp, Saltarelli, Welsh, Schuster. Noes: none. Absent: none. RESOLUTION NO. 77-2 A Resolution of the City Council of the City Of Tustin AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO DESIGNATE THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR, ASSISTANT CITY ADMINISTRATOR FOR FINANCE, AND CITY CLERK AS INDIVIDUALS AUTHORIZED TO DRAW ON THE LETTER OF CREDIT FURNISHED BY THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATION FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS MAINTENANCE YARD PROJECT. Moved by Welsh, seconded by Sharp, that Resolution No. 77-2 be read by title. Carried unanimously. Moved by Schuster, seconded by Sharp, that Resolution No. 77-2 be passed and adopted. Carried. Ayes: Edgar, Sharp, Saltarelli, Welsh, Schuster. Noes: none. Absent: none. IV.
