Staff is requesting authorization to fill a personnel vacancy for
Senior Center Receptionist/Clerk. The position is new but the
allocation included in the 95/96 general fund budget for part-time
staff at the Senior Center could fund the position.
The proposed position would be permanent part-time. Presently the
position is funded for 20 hours per week by the County of Orange
through the Senior Aides Program. Vivian Grasso has held the
position for the past several years however, the County has
informed the City that her contract'cannot be renewed.
Staffing is required to perform Receptionist/Clerk duties at the
Senior Center. Currently, volunteer staff answer phones and
perform receptionist duties at the Center. Through the Senior Aide
program, the County may be able to fund another individual at the
Center other than Vivian. Staff recommends hiring vivian Grasso
for the position of Senior Center Receptionist/Clerk.
