HomeMy WebLinkAboutRDA MINUTES 10-16-95 RDA NO. 1 10-16-95 MINUTES REGULAR MEETING OF THE TUSTIN COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA OCTOBER 2, 1995 CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to. order by Chairperson Potts at 8:08 p.m. at the Council Chambers, 300 Centennial Way, Tustin, California. ROLL CALL Members Present: Jim Potts, Chairperson Tracy A. Worley, Chairperson Pro Tem Mike Doyle Thomas R. Saltarelli Jeffery M. Thomas Members Absent: None Recording Secretary: Pamela Stoker Others Present: William A. Huston, Exec. Dir./City Manager Lois Jeffrey, City Attorney Christine Shingleton, Asst. Executive Director W. Douglas Franks, Chief of Police Ronald A. Nault, Finance Director Tim Serlet, Director of Public Works Mike Henley, Director of Community Services Dana Kasdan, Engineering Services Manager Valerie Crabill, Chief Deputy City Clerk Dana Ogdon, Senior Planner Dan Fox, Senior Planner Approximately 10 in the audience REGULAR BUSINESS (ITEMS I THROUGH 2) 1. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - SEPTEMBER 18, 1995 REGULAR MEETING Chair Potts and Agencymember Saltarelli announced they would abstain on this item due to their absence from the September 18, 1995 Agency meeting. It was moved by Thomas, seconded by Worley, to approve the Redevelopment Agency Minutes of September 18, 1995. Motion carried 3-0, Potts, Saltarelli abstained. 2. APPROVAL OF DEMANDS It was moved by Thomas, seconded by Worley, to approve Demands in the amount of $32,042.48. Motion carried 5-0. OTHER BUSINESS OLD TOWN REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT Agencymember Doyle requested that the potential redevelopment project in Old Town be given top. priority and proceed expeditiously. REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY MINUTES Page 2, 10-2-95 RAIL STATION Agencymember Saltarelli noted that the new Amtrak service in Irvine was experiencing parking problems and encouraged the City of Irvine to donate funding to complete the Edinger rail station which would benefit Tustin and Irvine 'residents. SANTA ANA CRIME DECREASED Chairperson Pro Tem Worley stated that Santa Ana Mayor Pulido had reported crime in his city had decreased by 34 percent in the past 3 years. CLOSED SESSION - None Chairperson Potts adjourned the meeting at 8:10 p.m. The next regular meeting of the Redevelopment Agency was scheduled for Monday, October 16, 1995, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 300 Centennial Way.
