FINAL ACCEPTANCE OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS AND AUTHORIZATION
TO FILE A NOTICE OF COMPLETION FOR INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC
SIGNAL AND SAFETY LIGHTING AT TUSTIN RANCH ROAD AND PIONEER
WAY (CIP PROJECT NO. 800026)
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council, at their meeting of July 17, 1995 adopt the attached resolution
accepting said work as complete and authorize the recordation of the Notice of Completion, and direct
the City Clerk to:
.
Release the Labor and Materials Payment Bond not sooner than thirty-five (35) days after the
date of recordation of the Notice of Completion, and
.
Release the Faithful Performance Bond not sooner than one year after the date of recordation
of the Notice of Completion, and
Assuming no claims or stop notices are filed, it is further recommended that 35 days after the date of
recordation of the Notice of Completion, the City Council authorize payment of the final 10 9[ retention
in the amount of $8,410.50. This amount together with previous payments of $75,694.50 represents
100% of the final contract amount.
FISCAL IMPACT
The final cost of construction is $84,105.00. This project is to be paid from the allocated funds for the
project in the City's Assessment District 86-2 budget.
BACKGROUND
This project included the installation of a traffic signal and safety lighting at the intersection of Tustin
Ranch Road and Pioneer Way. There were no change orders to the original contract. This work has
been completed to the satisfaction of the Engineering Division. The final contract amount is $84,105.00

RESOLUTION NO. 95-66
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN,
CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING WORKS OF IMPROVEMENT AND
AUTHORIZING RECORDATION OF THE NOTICE OF COMPLETION FOR
INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNAL AND SAFETY LIGHTING AT
TUSTIN RANCH ROAD AND PIONEER WAY
WHEREAS, Signal Maintenance, Inc., has a contract with the City of Tustin to
install the hereinafter described public works and improvements; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has duly certified to the construction and
completion of said public improvements hereinafter mentioned in a manner satisfactory
to the City Council of the City of Tustin; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that said contractor has completed said public
improvement hereinafter more particularly described in accordance with the provisions
of the contract documents and the Notice of Completion, and acceptance of said public
work and improvement should be filed and payment of the balance due said contract
authorized in accordance with the contract documents;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Tustin that said public work and improvement be accepted. Said public work and
improvement is more particularly described as follows:
Installation of Traffic Signal and Safety Lighting at Tustin Ranch Road and
Pioneer Way.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at'a regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of Tustin on the 17th day of July 1995.
