COOPERATIVE PURCHASING AGREEMENT FOR FUELS
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council, at their regular meeting of May 1, 1995, authorize the
City of Tustin to utilize the Orange County Cooperative Purchasing Agreement for Fuels.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The fiscal impact remains the same and is already budgeted at $120,000 in account number
010-400-4060-8210.
BACKGROUND.:
In a letter from Chevron U.S.A., dated March 29, 1995, Chevron stated that they Will no longer
sell fuel directly to the City of Tustin due to downsizing in the oil industry. Chevron requested that
the City re-establiSh with one of their jobbers.
DISCUSSION:
It is our recommendation that we utilize the Orange County Cooperative Purchasing Agreement for.
Fuel. This is a yearly competitive bid and the City of Tustin is allowed by ordinance to use this
Agreement.
