TUSTIN CITY HALL
December 9, 1975
4:00 P.M.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Saltarelli.
Present: Councilmen: Saltarelli, Welsh, Sharp
Councilwoman Sutcliff arrived at 4:45 P.M.
Absent: Councilman: Edgar
Others present: William Bopf, City Administrator
Dan Blankenship, Assistant City Administrator
R. K. Fleagle, Assistant City Administrator
Ruth C. Poe, City Clerk
Robert Ledendecker, City Engineer
BUDGETING STATUS FOR NEWPORT AVENUE STREET RECONSTRUCTION AND WIDENING
Mr. Ledendecker presented report relative to budgetary problems covering
program phases, inclusive of bicycle trails, cost projections, funds
available and three alternatives to the funding problem.
Council discussed other alternatives relative to partial paved bike
trail, safety factors, delaying landscaping, sale of excess city
property, deletion of San Juan bike trail, and signalizationo
Moved by Saltarell, seconded by Sharp that City enter into a four year project.
That the 4th year project be the beautification item - the landscaping
of the center island and deletion of the purchase of the bike trail right-
of-way between Main Street be continued to until the ~ourth year.
After further budgeting discussion the above motion was amended by Mayor
Saltarelli and the second to include that the City put off the Bryan Avenue
widening and signal to the fourth year.

Above motion, as amended. Carried. Ayes: Saltarelli, Welsh, Sharp,
Abstained: Sutcliff. Absent: Edgar.
Moved by Welsh, seconded by Sharp that meeting be adjourned. Motion carried.
