HUSTON, CITY MANAGER · PERSONNEL SERVICES RF~OLUTION TO INCREASE HOURLY RATES IN PART TIME SALARY Recommendation: That the attached Salary Resolution to amend the salary schedule for part time employees be approved with an effective date of March 31, 1995. Fiscal Impact: The cost of the recommended increases is approximately $4,300 for the remainder of the fiscal year. Discussion: There are currently 87 part time positions budgeted. At certain times of the year, fifty to sixty of these positions may be filled. Seven of these classifications have full time equivalent positions which set the hourly rate. The remaining classifications are listed on the part time salary schedule. The new salary schedule for part time employees reflects a two percent increase for all part time positions with the exception of the Administrative Intern which is still comparable to the rate being paid for this position in our survey cities. A two percent increase is consistent with the increase recently approved for general employees and was also received by other part employees who have comparable full time positions.
