J m 1 APPROVAL OF DEMANDS Recommendation: Approve Demands in the amount'of $49,003.85. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - FEBRUARY 6, 1995 REGULAR MEETING Recommendation: Approve the Redevelopment Agency Minutes of February 6, 1995. STATUS REPORT: TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLATION AT FIRST STREET/"B" STREET (ClP NO. 800048) The Agency approved inclusion of the Subject traffic signal project in their CIP program for FY 1994-95. Staff has recently performed an updated traffic analysis and the study concluded that traffic conditions at the subject location do not meet criteria for the installation of all-way stop signs,'and that stoP signs would produce severe peak-hour .congestion. Recommendation: Defer implementation of the subject project to a future fiscal year and direct staff to monitor the location and return the project for Agency consideration when traffic conditions indicate that installation of a traffic signal is appropriate as recommended by the Public Works Department/Engineering Division. HOUSING REHABILITATION AND CODE ENFORCEMENT STATUS REPORT The Redevelopment Agency currently provides a residential rehabilitation program in portions of the South Central Redevelopment Project Area and in other areas of the Southwest neighborhood which are outside of the Redevelopment Project Area. · Recommendation by the Community Development Department: 1. Eliminate the requirement that individual tenants of rental properties not spend more than 30% of their gross income towards housing costs. 2. Increase the grant funds available to the single family and rental property owners to provide for mandatory painting of buildings. Redevelopment Agency Agenda I February 21, 1995 e Q ,, Expand the'50undaries of the rental loan program to make them consistent with the single family loan program and the residential grant program. Affirm the modifications to the processing schedule for property owners under code enforcement. OTHER BUSINESS CLOSED SESSION- None ADJOURNMENT- The next regular meeting of the Redevelopment Agency is scheduled for Monday, March 6, 1995, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 300 Centennial Way. OTHER BUSINESS- City Manager, City Attorney, City Council CLOSED SESSION- The City Council will convene in closed session: (1) to confer with the City Manager regarding compensation for management employees, and (2) to confer with the City Attorney regarding the initiation of litigation [Government Code Section 54956.9(c)]; ten (10) potential cases.
