DECLARATION OF SURPLUS STREET SWEEPERS
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, at their regular meeting of January 16, 1995, declare the equipment detailed in this report
surplus and not required for public use and authorize the Public Works Department to dispose of equipment in
accordance with Ordinance No. 871 office City of Tustin.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The total proceeds received for the sale of the aforementioned vehicles and work equipment is to be credited to
Account No. 700-400-8010-9850.
BACKGROUND:
Section 1626A(2) of the City of Tustin Ordinance No. 871 discusses the disposition of property and requires the
purchasing agent to prepare a xvritten estimate value of any surplus items not usable by the City or not required for
Public Use.
Further, the City Council must find that these surplus items are not required for public use and after said finding,
the purchasing agent shall have the authority to sell such items in accordance with Sections 1625D of Ordinance
No. 87 I, whichever is applicable.

DISCUSSION:

The Public Works Department is prepared to sell the equipment at the next available auction. The equipment is no
longer in use by the City and is surplus due to routine rotation/replacement.
