SATE: AUGUST 28, 1991
TO: WILLIAM A. HUSTON, CITY MANAGER
FROM: PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/ENGINEERING DIVISION
SUBJECT: CIVIC CENTER EDISON COMPANY EASEMENT
RECOMMENDATIONS:
That the Tustin City Council authorize the granting of an easement
to the Southern California Edison Company for the relocation of an
electrical service to the City Hall facility and authorize the
Mayor to execute said easement document.
BACKGROUND:
As part of the City Hall expansion/modification project, it will be
necessary to relocate the Southern California Edison Company
electrical service to accommodate the construction of the new
parking structure. This relocation will require the City to grant
a new easement to the Southern California Edison Company for the
relocated facilities. All previous easements, which will no longer
be required will be quitclaimed back to the City by the Southern
California Edison Company.
DISCUSSION:
The attached easement document contains the legal description and
map showing the required easement. This document has been prepared
by City staff and does not interfere with any existing or proposed
facilities on the City Hall site.
It is requested that the City Council approve the granting of said
easement to the Southern California Edison Company and authorize
the Mayor to execute the attached easement document.
