A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE SUBMITTAL OF
A PLANNING PROJECT APPLICATION TO THE ORANGE
COUNTY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY FOR FUNDING
UNDER THE 2016 COMPETITIVE MEASURE M2
PROJECT V COMMUNITY-BASED
TRANS IT/Cl RCULATORS GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Tustin desires to prepare a planning (feasibility) study for
the implementation of a community-based transit/circulator program;
WHEREAS, the City of Tustin has been declared by the Orange County
Transportation Authority to meet the eligibility requirements to receive revenues as part
of Measure M2; and
WHEREAS, the City of Tustin Circulation Element is consistent with the
County of Orange Master Plan of Arterial Highways; and
WHEREAS, the City of Tustin will provide matching funds for each project as
required by the Comprehensive Transportation Funding Programs Procedures Manual;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Tustin will not use Measure M2 funds to supplant
Developer Fees or other commitments; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Tustin
that it hereby requests the Orange County Transportation Authority allocate funds under
the 2016 Comprehensive Transportation Funding Programs Call for Projects from the
Community-Based Transit/Circulator Program (Project V) in the amount of $50,000 as
specified in the application. Said funds shall be matched 10% by funds from the City of
Tustin, as required, and shall be used as supplemental funding to aid the City in the
preparation of a planning (feasibility) study for a community-based transit/circulator
system.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Tustin held on the 15th day of March 2016.
