II - GREEN VALLEY SIDEWALK
RELOCATION
RECOMMENDATION
That the Tustin City Council, at their meeting of October 7, 1991,
accept the improvements constructed and authorize the recordation
of the notice of completion for said improvements with the adoption
of the attached Resolution.
Assuming no claims or stop payment notices are f iled'it is further
recommended that 30 days after the date of recordation of the
notice of completion, the Council authorize payment of the final
10% retention amount of $3,852.30. This amount, together with
previous payments of $34,642.67 represents 100% of the final
contract amount.
BACKGROUND
These projects provided for the construction of the Green Valley
Sidewalk Relocation, and Maintenance Access Ramps to four. (4)
parks, including.Peppertree Park, Frontier Park, Santa Clara Park,
and McFadden Park.
DISCUSSION
All work on these projects have been completed by the Contractor,
California Living, to the satisfaction of the Public Works-
Department/Engineering Division. The final contract amount for
these projects was $38,523.35. This represents an overrun of 7.4
percent from the original contract amount of $35,669.55. The extra
work and materials used include replacing mail box post, driveway
A.C. replacement, redwood header and drain pipe.;
This project was funded by the 1990-91 Capital Improvement Budget.
The attached Resolution accepts the works of improvements and
authorizes the recordation of the notice of completion for the
Green Valley Sidewalk Relocation and Maintenance Access Ramps for
parks. Staff requests City Council to pass and adopt this
Resolution.

RESOLUTION NO. 91-124
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN,
ACCEPTING WORKS OF IMPROVEMENT AND AUTHORIZING RECORDATION OF
NOTICE OF COMPLETION FOR PROJECT I - MAINTENANCE ACCESS RAMPS
TO PARK AND PROJECT II - GREEN VALLEY SIDEWALK RELOCATION
WHEREAS, California Living, having a contract with the City of
Tustin to construct the hereinafter described public works and
improvements; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has duly certified to the
construction and completion of said public improvements hereinafter
mentioned in a manner satisfactory to the City Council of the City
of Tustin; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that said contractor has
completed said public improvement hereinafter more particularly
described in accordance with the provisions of the contract
documents and the notice of completion, and acceptance of said
public work and improvement should be filed and payment of the
balance due of said contract authorized in accordance with the
contract documents;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Tustin that said public work and improvement be, and the same is
hereby accepted. Said public work and improvement is more
particularly described as follows:
Construction maintenance access ramps to park and construction
Green Valley sidewalk relocation.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Engineer of the City
of Tustin be and is hereby authorized to execute and file a notice
of completion and acceptance of said public work and improvement
described herein as required by law.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Tustin on the 7th day of October, 1991.
