SUBJECT: RAMPS - SB 821 PROJECT, 1990-91 FY AND 1991-92 FY; PROJECT
NO.2 -SIDEWALK ON VANDENBERG LANE - SB821 PROJECT, 1989-90 FY
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is recommended that the City Council, at their meeting of
October 7, 1991, award a contract to Grigolla & Sons Construction
Company, Inc. of Azusa, California, in the amount of $37,156.00.
BACKGROUND:

for subject project were opened
September 26, 1991, with a

of eighteen bids being received.

The low bid by Gragolla & Sons Construction Company, Inc. is 7.6%
below the Engineer's estimate of $40,203.00.
Project 1 includes the construction of sidewalk and wheelchair
ramps in the industrial area of Walnut Avenue on the westbound
side, from the railroad tracks, west of New Myford Road, westerly
to the existing sidewalk approximately 150 feet east of Tustin
Ranch Road. Project 2 includes the construction of sidewalk from
the corner of Yorba Street and Vandenberg Lane easterly
approximately 550 feet on the eastbound side of the street.

The funding for this project will be provided by the Orange County
Transportation Commission (OCTC) Bicycle and Pedestrian Facilities
Fund Program SB821. The amount available for these two projects is
$40,254.00.
