HUSTON, CITY MANAGER FROM: PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/ENGINEERING DIVISION SUBJECT: ACCEPTANCE OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS -TRACT NO. 13106 RECOMMENDATION That the Tustin City Council accept the public improvements within Tract No. 13106 and authorize the release of the following subdivision public improvement bonds: Faithful Performance Bond No. 11119071311 $264,000.00 Labor and Materials Bond No. 11119071311 . . . 132,000.00 Monumentation Bond No. 11119071329 . . . . . . 59,000.00 BACKGROUND As a condition of approval of Tract No. 13106, the developer, The Fieldstone Company, was required to post certain improvement bonds to guarantee the installation of the public improvements related to - Tract No. 13106. This Tract was located in the Tustin Ranch Development Phase II, at the southeasterly corner of Tustin Ranch Road and Lagier Way. The developer has requested release of the following subdivision bonds: Faithful Performance . . . . . . . . . . . . $264,000.00 Labor and Materials . . . . . . . . . . . . 132,000.00 Monumentation . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 59,000.00 DISCUSSION All required improvements within the public rights-of-way have been completed to the satisfaction of the Public Works Department/ Engineering Division. These improvements include street paving, curb and gutter, sidewalk, domestic and reclaimed water, sanitary sewer and other miscellaneous utilities. It is requested that the City Council at their meeting of May 6, 1991, accept the public improvements within Tract No. 13106 and authorize the release of the above mentioned bonds. The subdivision warranty Bond No. 111190071311 in the amount of $26,400 must remain in effect for a period of one year after the City Council accepts the public improvements. Robert S.
