AIRPORT NOISE MONITORING PRE)GRAM (JWA), AIRPORT SITE COALITION (ASC), COALITION FOR A RESPONSIBLE AIRPORT SOLUTION (CRAS) AND HELICOPTER OVERFLIGHTS TASK rUK~,£ (,U'i'r) RECOHHENDATION Receive and fi 1 e. DISCUSSION JWA - The City's consultant, Mr. John Van Houten, has performed an initial re--'~iew of the County's report on aircraft arrival noise levels. Essentially, he believes that the County has done what they said they would do, but not to as great a level of detail as they could have. Consequently, Mr. Van'Houten will perform a detailed analysis of the data provided with the report. The results of this analysis along with any appropriate recommendations are expected to be provided to the City by mid April. Review of the FAA report on air traffic controls for JWA is still underway and staff would expect to have draft comments available by the April 3rd City Council meeting. The second staff report on the Phase 2 Access Plan for JWA will be mailed out to interested parties on March 20, 1989. It is scheduled to go before the County Airport Commission on Wednesday, Apri 1 5, 1989. ASC - No new information; the next meeting is scheduled for Saturday, April 8, 1989. CRAS - The annual meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 1989, at which ~ Councilman Kelly's election to the Board of Directors is expected. HOTF - There is no task force meeting scheduled for this month; however, the ~ of Irvine is organizing sub-committees to discuss the various proposed routes. Our staff will sit in on the sub-committee for the Reservoir Route {alternate to the Irvine Boulevard Route). Staff will keep the Council informed of all progress and discussions regarding this item. Following this sub-committee meeting, it may be appropriate to schedule a meeting with Colonel Wagner of the Marine Corps to discuss the Reservoir Route. ~teve 'Rubi n Senior Planner 'Christine A.
