RECOMMENDATION:
That the Tustin City Council at their meeting of May 1, 1989, adopt the
attached resolution approving plans and specifications for the miscella-
neous traffic signal improvements at various locations and installation
of flashing beacons at Yorba Street/Amaganset Way and at Prospect
Avenue/Beneta Way, and direct the City Clerk to advertise for bids.
BACKGROUND:
This project consists of several el.ements throughout the City and are
funded as delineated below:

The engineer's estimate for the above-mentioned work is $185,500 and
will be funded as indicated above by Assessment District ($135,400.00)
and General Fund monies ($50,100.00).

RESOLUTION NO. 89-55
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS FOR MISCELI~%NEOUS TRAFFIC SIGNAL
IMPROVEMENTS AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS AND INSTALLATION
OF FLASHING BEACONS AT YORBA ST./AMAGANSET WAY AND
PROSPECT AVENUE, AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO
ADVERTISE FOR BIDS.
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Council of ~he
City of Tustin, California to contract construction of
miscellaneous traffic signal improvements at various locations
and installation of flashing beacons at Yorba St./Amaganset Way
and at Prospect Ave./Beneta Way; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has presented plans and
specifications for the construction of said work;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the plans and
specifications presented by the City Engineer be and are' hereby
approved as the plans and specifications for:
Construction of miscellaneous traffic signal
improvements at various locations and installation
of flashing beacons at Yorba St./Amaganset Way and
at Prospect Ave./Beneta Way.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby
authorized and directed to advertise as required by law for the
receipt of sealed bids or proposals for the doing of the work
specified in the aforesaid plans and specifications;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this project is
categorically exempt from the requirements of the California
Environmental Quality Act; Class I: Existing Facilities.
PASSED 'AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Tustin, held on the day of
