HUSTON, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT CERTIFICATE OF CONFORMANCE , FOR RED HILL CENTER AND GRISET PROPERTY ON NEWPORT AVENUE AT OLD IRVINE BOULEVARD m RECINqMENDATION Receive and file. BACKGROUND At the last City Council meeting on May 1, 1989, a concern was raised regarding the status of the Certificates of Conformance on the Griset property at Newport Avenue, Irvine Boulevard and Old Irvine Boulevard (see Exhibit A). While no fbrmal request has been filed by the Grisets on their property, staff is conducting an analysis of the site to determine if such a certificate may be issued. Additionally? staff has received a request from Mr. Pat Lester requesting a Certificate of Conformance for the Red Hill Center at the northeast corner of Newport and Old Irvine Boulevard (see map attached as Exhibit A). ANALYSIS In order to determine whether or not a Certificate of Conformance may be issued for either of the sites in question, staff conducts a detailed study on the property. This study will be facilitated by the use of a Conformity Report, which serves as a checklist to identify any non-conformities on a property. Prior to bringing these projects to the Agency for a determination on the Certificate o'f Conformance staff must complete the review process. City Council Report Certl ficates of Conformi ty May 15, 1989 Page two CONCLUSION ,m i Once a complete review of each site is finished, staff w111 present its recommendation for issuance of a Certificate of Comformance. Staff anticipates that this process will be ready for Agency consideration by late June.
