CALIFORNIA, APPROVING ZONE CHANGE 89-01, A REQUEST TO REZONE PROPERTY LOCATED SOUTHEASTERLY OF FUTURE JAMBOREE ROAD ADJACENT TO PETERS CANYON WASH FROM P&I (PUBLIC AND INSTITUTIONAL) TO M (INDUSTRIAL) The City Council of the City of Tustin does hereby ordain as follows: I. The City Council finds and determines as follows: A. That a proper application, has been filed on behalf of the Irvine Industrial Company for the purpose of rezoning a 2.6 acre parcel southeasterly of future Jamboree Road adjacent to Peters Canyon Wash from P&I (Public and Institutional) to M (Industrial) and described as Assessor's Parcel No. 434-061-014. B. That a public hearing before the Planning Commission to consider Zone Change 89-01 was duly called, noticed and held on November 13, 1989 at which time the Planning Commission adopted Resolution No. 2701 recommending approval to the City Council of said Zone Change. C. That a public hearing before the City Council was duly called, noticed and held on December 4, 1989. D. This Zone Change has been reviewed in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act. It has been determined that this project will not have a significant effect on the environment and a Negative. Declaration has been prepared. E. The proposed zoning is consistent with the General Plan, particularly the Land Use Element and General Plan Amendment 89-03, in that the proposed zoning would allow compatible uses and orderly development in the area. 4 5 G i 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 221 25 26 9; 28 Ordinance No. 1040 December 4, 1989 Page 2 F. The proposed zoning is in the best interest of the public health, safety and welfare and would be compatible with the existing adjacent military Aerations, future development in the City of Irvine and future extension of Jamboree Road. II. The City Council hereby approves Zone Change 89-01 as shown on Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, amending the City of Tustin Zoning Map to rezone property located southeasterly of future Jamboree Road adjacent to Peters Canyon Wash from P&I (Public and Institutional) to M (Industrial).
