HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC 9 OCUTT PROGRAM 01-15-90DATE: JANUARY 8. 1990 CO SEDT CALENDAR N0. 9 5 ?0 Inter - Com TO: WILLIAM HUSTON, CITY MANAGER FROM: PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/ENGINEERING DIVISION SUBJECT: 1990-91 ORANGE COUNTY UNIFIED TRANSPORTATION TRUST FUND, OCUTT PROGRAM RECOMMENDATION: That the City Council, by resolution, request the Orange County Transportation Commission, OCTC, to include projects from the City of Tustin in the 1990-91 OCUTT Program. BACKGROUND: OCUTT is a county funded program intended to provide monies to construct and/or rehabilitate local streets and highways. The program is set up on a 50-50 project construction cost split between the program and the local agency. We have requested the City of Santa Ana to participate in the project within that City's limits. The projects included in the funding request are: a) Red Hill Avenue - Barranca Avenue to Warner Avenue b) Red Hill Avenue - Warner Avenue to Valencia Avenue These projects are included in the 1990-91 Highway Capital Program. Project Funding Tustin Santa Ana OCUTT Total Red Hill Barranca to Warner 308.0 132.0 330.0 770.0 Red Hill Warner to Valencia 302.5 226.5 529.0 Totals 610.5 132.0 556.5 1,299.0 Bob Ledend cker Director Public Works/City Engineer BL: jw 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16' 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 90-8 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA REQUESTING THE ORANGE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION TO INCLUDE WITHIN THE ORANGE COUNTY UNIFIED TRANSPORTATION TRUST (OCUTT) FUND THE IMPROVEMENT OF RED HILL AVENUE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN HEREBY RESOLVES, DETERMINES, AND ORDERS AS FOLLOWS: (a) THAT WHEREAS, the City of Tustin desires to improve the streets listed below; (b) WHEREAS, the City's Master Plan of Arterial Highways/Circul,ation Element is consistent with the County of Orange Master Plan of Arterial Highways; (c) WHEREAS, the City of Tustin will provide 50 percent in matching funds for each project; (d) WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Commission intends to allocate funds from the Orange County Unified Transportation Trust Fund for the improvement of streets within the incorporated cities of the county; NOW, THEREFORE, The City Council of the City of Tustin hereby request the Orange County Transportation Commission to allocate funds in the amounts specified in the City's application to said City from Orange County Unified Transportation Trust Funds. Said funds shall be matched by funds from said City and shall be used to aid the City in the improvement of the following street(s) for fiscal year 1990/91. (a) Red Hill Avenue - Barranca to Warner Avenue (b) Red Hill Avenue - Warner Avenue to Valencia Avenue ATTEST: City Clerk Mayor
