APRIL ELECTION - LOCATION OF POLLING PLACES
RECOMMENDATION:
Receive and file.
BACKGROUND:
At their meeting of January 15, 1990, the City Council received
a status report (Attachment 2) indicating the election polling
places assigned as of that date. The Council requested a
status report be reagendized for the February 5, 1990 Council
meeting.
DISCUSSION:
The following changes have occurred since the January 15, 1990
report was submitted: At the request of the Tustin Meadows
Homeowners' Association, the polling location in Precinct No.
2 has been changed from a residential location to the East
Clubhouse; and the precincts without polling sites have now
been confirmed as follows: Precinct 9 - Welling Residence,
2215 Catalapa Drive; Precinct 11 - Tustin High School; Precinct
12 - Columbus Tustin School; and Precinct 17 - Villa Valencia
Clubhouse, 14092 Browning Avenue. Attached is a complete list
of the polling locations (Attachment 1).
A Resolution establishing the Polling Places and Election
Officers will be agendized for recommended adoption by the City
Council on February 20, 1990.

Registrar of Voters during the last election they conducted in Tustin
(November 7, 1989 for School/Special District Election).
As you will note, the following precincts do not have a confirmed location
as of this date: Precinct 9 - The previous polling location for this
precinct has been lost due to relocation of the homeowner, we are in the
process of contacting homeowners and/or associations for possible use of
their facilities; Precinct 11 - Have requested use of Lambert School or
Tustin High School, conf irmation has not been received; Precinct 12 - Have
requested use of Columbus Tustin School, confirmation has not been
received; and Precinct 17 - Have requested use of Tustin Imperial Clubhouse
1777 Mitchell, confirmation has not been received.
