Huston, City Manager Administrative Services Department SUBJECT: RESOLUTION NO. 90-31 RECOMMENDATION: CO.RtEON T14'ULENDAR NO. 14 2-0-90 Inter - Com That the City Council adopt Resolution No. 90-31 relating to the compensation of Confidential employees. BACKGROUND: As Council is aware, last month the City and T.M.E.A. came to an agreement regarding compensation and benefits. It is customary to increase Confidential employees' salaries equal to increases given general employees. The attached Resolution accomplishes this. In addition, since the Confidential employees are unrepresented, it has been the City's practice to ensure that their salaries are increased retroactive to January 1, 1990. This Resolution provides for that, and it will ensure recruitment and retention of our valuable Confidential employees. ka. --- Royleen A.
