BACKGROUND: A recent memo from the City's Consulting Traffic Engineer provided information to the Council as to the monitoring of 16 intersections in the City. Briefly, the memo indicated that the reason the locations were monitored was to identify accident patterns. Once the reason for these "patterns" was identified, accident reduction measures could be evaluated and implemented. The City Council expressed interest in the information and requested a more detailed list which specifically identified the intersections in question. The following provides the requested information.
