ACCEPTANCE OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT FOR CARPETING IN
CIVIC CENTER COMPLEX
RECOMMENDATION:
That the Tustin Community Redevelopment Agency authorize the release of two
bonds as follows:
Performance Bond No. 189-402J3154............$46,152.00
Labor & Materials Bond No. 189-402J3154......$23,076.00
that were required as a part of the contract for carpet installation at the
Civic Center complex.
BACKGROUND:
- z the early part of 1988, the Tustin Community Redevelopment Agency (Agency)
arded a contract to Sheward and Sons, Inc. for the installation of
carpeting in the Tustin City Hall. This work was subsequently completed in
Spring of 1988.
A review of the files indicate that this improvement had never been formally
accepted by the Agency and that the following bonds have never been released
at the completion of the project:
Performance Bond No. 819-402J3154..........$46,152.00
Labor & Materials Bond No. 189-402J3154....$23,076.00
The surety company at this time has requested the release of the above-
mentioned bonds. All work has been completed to the satisfaction of the
Public Works Department.
