DISCUSSION
JWA - The topic of a cumulative impact study of high rise
development on navigational aids was not included in the
agenda for the March 15th Airport Land Use Commission (ALUC)
as staff had anticipated. As of the writing of this report,
staff is still attempting to find out from ALUC staff when the
matter will be agendized. Staff will continue to monitor this
issue and keep the Council informed.
ASC - The final report from ASC will be presented to the Board
of Supervisors at their meeting on April 3rd beginning at 9:30
a.m. Staff will attend the meeting and report back in our
next status report.
CRAS - The annual general membership meeting will be held on
Wednesday, April 4th at 6:00 p.m. in the Leisure World
Administrative Building located at 23522 Paseo de Valencia,
Laguna Hills, California.
As additional information, staff was informed by Irvine City
staff that the Inter -County Airport Authority (ICAA, authors
of a report for joint use of MCAS E1 Toro) are reactivating
after a period of dormancy. Their first meeting is scheduled
for April 4th. Staff will find out the time and place of the
meeting and try to attend. According to Irvine staff, the
ICAA is exploring the potential of George AFB for joint/full
commercial use. George AFB is located in Victorville, along
the proposed Anaheim -Las Vegas high speed rail line.
