TO: WILLIAM HUSTON, CITY MANAGER
FROM: PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/ENGINEERING DIVISION
SUBJECT: CALTRANS UTILITY AGREEMENT NO.12013
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, by minute motion, approve and authorize the Mayor and
City Clerk to -execute subject agreement.
DISCUSSION:
In conjunction with the Caltrans Project to widen I-5 from Jamboree Road to
Newport Avenue, sewer facilities in Nisson Road and El Camino Real, that are
owned and operated by the City of Tustin, must be relocated. The sewer
relocation work is included in the I-5 Widening Contract.
In addition to sewer reconstruction costs, Caltrans is also obligated to
reimburse the City of Tustin staff inspection costs that are incurred during
construction. Inspection costs for the sewer relocation are estimated to be
$6,380.00. Caltrans utility agreement No.12013 provides for the reimbursement
of that cost to the City of Tustin.
