AUTHORIZE THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS/CITY ENGINEER TO
EXECUTE FUNDING APPLICATIONS
RECOMMENDA_T_ION:
That the City Council, by resolution, authorize the Director of Public
Works/City Engineer to execute applications for funding under the state/
local transportation partnership program.
BACKGROUND:
Legislation has not yet been finalized to fund the state/local transpor-
tation partnership program beyond the 1990-W91 year. However, in
anticipation of extended funding for the program, Caltrans is accepting
applications through June 1990 for projects to be included in the 1991-92
year extension. A tentative listing of the Tustin projects to be
included in the 1991-92 program application is
1) Yorba Street - Rehabilitation/overlay Leafwood Drive to Laurie Lane
2) Yorba Street - Rehabilitate/overlay Amaganset Way to Norwood Park P1.
3) Prospect Avenue - Rehabilitate/reconstruct Irvine Boulevard to
Amaganset Way
The funding level of the extended program has not been set. But the
approximate funding split of the 1990-91 program is State 15% and Agency
85%.
