DESIGNATION OF A DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISE LIAISON OFFICER
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council, by resolution, designate Jennifer Raue as the
Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Liaison Officer for the City of Tustin.
BACKGROUND:
In order to obtain funding from federal highway improvement programs it is
necessary for agencies to develop and implement a Disadvantaged Business
Enterprise Program. The purpose of the program is to afford the fullest
possible participation to firms owned and controlled by minorities and women in
highway contracting activities. A requirement of the DBE Program is that the
agency designate a DBE Liaison Officer who's responsibilities shall be to
develop, manage and implement the DBE Program. A newly appointed
Administrative Assistant, Ms. Raue, will fill the vacancy created by the recent
resignation of Monda Buckley.
