TO: WILLIAM HOUSTON, CITY MANAGER
FROM: PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/FIELD SERVICES
SUBJECT: AUTHORIZATION TO PURCHASE RIDING MOWER AND TRAILER
RECOMMENDATION:
That the Tustin City Council, at their regular meeting of June 4, 1990, authorize staff to
purchase a riding lawnmower and trailer from Lawnmowers Plus, San Marcos, in the
amount of $10,406.44.
BACKGROUND:
The riding lawnmower and trailer were requested in the Fiscal Year 1989/90 Budget to
maintain the medians in the newly developed East Tustin area. The medians have now
been turned over to the Field Service Division by the developer/contractor and the
equipment is needed.
Funds are available in the Public Works budget from Projected Year End Operating
Expenses.
Seven bids were solicited on this equipment. On May 5, 1990, four were received and
only three were in complete conformance to our specifications.
