CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Edgar at 9:40 p.m.
in the City Council Chambers, 300 Centennial Way, Tustin,
California.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES - MAY 21, 1990, REGULAR MEETING
It was moved by Puckett, seconded by Pontious, to approve the
Minutes of May 21, 1990.
Motion carried 5-0.
DESIGN REVIEW 89-57 (HOME SAVINGS OF AMERICA)
Beth Schoemann, Associate Planner, reported on the applicant's
proposal to construct a 12,200 square foot, two-story savings and
loan building with a drive-thru teller and automatic teller machine.
The project site was .966 acre, bounded by Irvine Boulevard and
Newport Avenue, and was located in the Town Center Redevelopment
Agency Area.
The following member of the audience spoke in favor of approving
Design Review 89-57 and requested Home Savings' preference in using
the gold band trim be reconsidered by the Council:
Larry Upham, representing Home Savings of America
Council/speaker discussion followed regarding the City historical
theme of the mural and use of gold tiles/trim.
It was moved by Puckett, seconded by Pontious, to certify the
Negative Declaration as adequate for the project by adoption of the
following Resolution No. RDA 90-6, as submitted or revised:

REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, CERTIFYING
THE NEGATIVE DECLARATION AS ADEQUATE FOR DESIGN REVIEW 8§-57,
INCLUDING REQUIRED FINDINGS PURSUANT TO THE CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL
QUALITY ACT
Motion carried 5-0.
It was moved by Puckett, seconded by Potts, to approve Design Review
89-57 by adoption of the following Resolution No. RDA 90-7, modified
to allow the gold band trim:

BOULEVARD
