SUBJECT: SANTA ANA VALLEY IRRIGATION CO. (SAVI) QUITCLAIM OF EASEMENT
(FILE #1960)
RECOMMENDATION:
For the City Council meeting of July 2, 1990, authorize the Mayor to
execute a quitclaim deed to Lloyd Sittig and Patricia Ann Sittig for a
SAVI easement at 13321 Woodlawn Drive.
BACKGROUND:
Several years ago, the City acquired all of the easement rights of the
Santa Ana Valley Irrigation Company (SAVI) within the City limits and
its sphere of influence. Several of these easements have been utilized
for drains, water easements, etc. by the City. Previous easements that
were deemed not to be utilized by the City have already been quitclaimed
to the property owners at their request subject to a transfer fee of
$90.00 per document.
DISCUSSION:
Lloyd Sittig and Patricia Ann Sittig have requested that the City
quitclaim the SAVI easement rights as it relates to their property at
13321 Woodlawn Drive. Staff has investigated this request and has
determined that the City will have no future need for this particular
easement.

map recorded in Book 49, Page 43 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records
of said Orange County.
