SUBJECT: AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT ON MALTA STREET,
VALE AVENUE, HEWES AVENUE AND "C" STREET (FILE #2893)
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council at their meeting of July 16,
1990 award the contract for subject project to Noriega Pipeline of
Rancho Cucamonga, CA, in the amount of $118,968.00.
BACKGROUND:
On June 4, 1990, the City Council approved plans and specifications and
authorized the advertisement for bids for the subject project.
This project encompasses the replacement of deteriorated water mains on
Malta Street, Vale Avenue, and Hewes Avenue in the unincorporated
territory of Orange County and "C" Street in the City of Tustin.
DISCUSSION:
Sealed bids for this work was received and opened on July 10, 1990 at
10:30 A.M. and are summarized as follows:
