SUBJECT: AUTHORIZATION TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE ANNUAL PAVEMENT
MARKING AND STRIPING PROGRAM
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Tustin City Council, at their meeting of
September 41 1990, adopt the attached resolutionapproving specifica-
tions for subject project and authorizing advertisement for bids.
BACKGROUND:
It has been the practice of the City of Tustin to contract for street
striping and pavement markings. The last contract 9was a multi-year
annual contract and will expire on September 15, 190
The Engineering Division has drafted specifications for these programs
and is proposing a three-year contract with endhyear based onenewable adjustmentpof
satisfactory performance by the contractor a The program
prices according to the Consumer Price Index (CPI).

RESOLUTION NO. 90-114
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS
FOR THE ANNUAL PAVEMENT MARKING AND STRIPING
PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Council of the
City of Tustin, California to maintain existing pavement
markings and implement new pavement markings and striping as
needed at various locations in the City of Tustin; and
WHEREAS the City Engineer has presented specifications for
the purpose of accomplishing this work;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the specifications
presented by the City Engineer be and hereby approved as the
specifications for:
ANNUAL PAVEMENT MARKING AND STRIPING PROGRAM
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby
authorized and directed to advertise as required by law for the
receipt of sealed bids or proposals for the doing of the work
specified in the aforesaid specifications.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this project is categorically
exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental
Quality Act; Class I: Existing Facilities.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Tustin, held on the 4th day September, 1990.
