HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC 7 ANNL ASPHALT RPR 09-17-90ENT CALENDAR N0. 7 9/17/90 DATE: SEPTEMBER 11, 1990 \��/ Inter — Com TO: WILLIAM HUSTON, CITY MANAGER FROM: PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/ENGINEERING DIVISION SUBJECT: AUTHORIZATION TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE ANNUAL ASPHALT CONCRETE PAVEMENT REPAIR PROGRAM RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the Tustin City Council at their of meeting of September 17, 1990 adopt the attached resolution approving specifica- tions for subject project and authorizing advertisement for bids. BACKGROUND: It has been the practice of the City of Tustin to contract for street pavement repair. The last contract was a multi-year annual contract and expired on August 7, 1990. The Engineering Division has drafted specifications for this program and is proposing a three-year contract with each year renewable upon satisfactory performance by the contractor and based on adjustment of prices according to the Consumer Price Index (CPI). November 05, 1990 10 Bob Ledendecker Wisam Altowaiji Director of Public Works/City Engineer Associate Civil Engineer 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 li 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 90-124 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE ANNUAL ASPHALT CONCRETE PAVEMENT REPAIR PROGRAM WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Tustin, California to maintain and repair streets as needed at various locations in the City of Tustin; and WHEREAS the City Engineer has presented specifications for the purpose of accomplishing this work; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the specifications presented by the City Engineer be and are hereby approved as the specifications for: ANNUAL ASPHALT CONCRETE PAVEMENT REPAIR PROGRAM BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to advertise as required by law for the receipt of sealed bids or proposals for the doing of the work specified in the aforesaid specifications.
