FAIRMONT WAY ANNEXATION HEARINGS Proposed annexation to the City of Tustin of approx- imately 2.286 acres of land located South of Santa "' Clara Ave., between Newport Freeway and Yorba St. Hearing opened aT 7:34 There being no written or oral Drotests or comments the hearing was declared closed at 7~35 P.M. Carried unanimously 2. AMENDMENTS TO SECTION 4.120-ORDINANCE NO. 157 To consider amendmen~ To Section 4.120 of 0rdinsnce No. 157, as amended, which would require a three foot side yard setback for developments in the PM (Planned Industrial) zone. Hearing opened at 7:36 P.M. and staff report presented by Mr. Taylor. There being no objections or comments the hearing was declared closed at 7:37 P.M. Moved by Klingelhofer, seconded by Coco That Ordinance No. 307, ~mending section 4.120 of the ZOning Ordinance, Ordinance No. 157, as amended, ~o provide sideyard setback of three feet in the PM'zone, be read by title only. FIRST STREET TRUCKING FIRM Correspondence from City Attorney presented. Council directed Mr. H. Gill to investigate.any violations of noise ordinance and check with the City Attorney for a solution zo this issue and ~o make a full report for action by the Council st the nex~ regular meeting. VII. NEW 1. RESOLUTION N0. 818 BUSINESS A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE CANVASS OF THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON THE 12TH DAY OF APRIL, 1966, TO BE MADE BY THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY 0F TUSTIN. Moved by K~ingelhofSr, seconded by Ring that Resolution .No; 818, ordering the canvass of the general municipal election to be made by the City Clerk, be ~assed and adooted. Carried by roll call. Ayes: Mack, Klingelhofer, Coco, Miller, Ring. Noes: None. Absent: None. 2. ARMSTRONG PROPERTY PURCHASE Approval by the City Council of parcel ~5 (135 W. Third St.) in compliance with Lease-Option Agreement with Betty Jane Armstrong. Moved by Ring, seconded by Klingelhofer that the City instruct the City Attorney To enter into escrow for the purchase of Parcel ~ ~ of Lease-Option Agreement for a total of $10,000.00 plus the City's share of escrow fees. Carried. 3. CALIFORNIA FIRE CHIEF'S ASSOCIATION MEETING Authorization for Fire Chief To attend the California Fire Chief's Association Convention. Moved by Ring, seconded by Coco, that the Fire Chief be authorized to attend the annual Fire Chief's Association Convention from May 23-27, at a cost not to exceed 8110.00. Carried. 4. CITY CLERKS' INSTITUTE Request for authorization for the City Clerk to attend the 1966 City Clerks' institute. Moved by Ring, seconded by Coco that the ~ity Clerk be authorized ~o attend the 1966 Cit~ Clerks' Institute at a cos~ not to exceed ~90.00. Carried. 5. APPROVAL OF DEMANDS Moved by Ring, seconded by Coco that Demands in the amount of ~107.~7%49 be s~roved and'"'Osid. Carried. ('~75,000.00 of the above amount is money deoosited in Certificates of Deposits) VIII. REPORTS & 1. PLANNING DIRECTOR APPOINTMENT OTHER BUSINESS Mayor Mack announced that James Su~in~er of Pacifica, California, has been aoOointed Ptannin~ Director for the City of Tustin, effective April 25, 1966. 2. Council minutes 4/4/66 Pg 4 Mr. C. Klor, owner of the company, explained the nature of the business and the need for casy fast access from trucks to their plant refrigeration. A request Was made for a Ioading zone at the loading ares of the building. The Council felt they were lacking s concrete analysis of the situation as to traffic hazard and a report of all departments concerned would be necessary before rescinding Resolution 815 which provided these no stopping restrictims~ Mayor Mack, ordered a complete study be made by all departments concerned and a complete report and recommen- dation to be presented by the City Administrator st next regular meeting. Moved by Klingelhofer, seconded by Ring that Resolution No. 819 be ~assed and ado~te&, stating that until comp- letion and presentation of report from ~he City Administrator and further action by the City Council, said ares at The warehouse located aT 13801 Newport Ave., Tustin, shall be a 20 minute barking area for loading purposes onlyi Carried by rol~ call. ORANGE COUNTY HARBOR DISTRICT Mayor Mack directed The City Attorney to ~re~sre a resolution re~uestin~ that this City be deleted from the Orange .County Harbor District and including a substantiating explanation of the district and reasons for withdrawal. 4. RURAL TYPE MAILBOXES The City Attorney was directed to draft a resolution Orotestin~ the reGuiremen~ of rural tyoe mailboxe~ ror curb delivery in all new subdivisions. IX.
