MINUTES Moved by Ring, seconded by Klingelhofer, that the
Minutes of December 20th, 1965 meeting be approved
as mailed. Carried.
V. 1. APPEAL OF TUSTIN SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSOCIATION,
PUBLIC OF THE DECISION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION
HEARINGS REGARDING A FREE-STANDING POLE SIGN.
Hearing opened at 7:45 P. M.
Dennis Hayden, Representative of the Tustin Savings
and Loan Association, presented a review of the
contemplated sign, including their conformance to
sign ;height of 35 feet and over-all area of 144
square feet.
Ed Haworth, Planning Director, reviewed Staff Repor~
on Ordinance requirements.
There being no further comments or objections,
Hearing declared closed at 7:55 P. M.
Moved by Ring, seconded by Coco, that Appeal be
upheld and that Tustin Savings and Loan Association
be allowed uo erecu sign according to revised plans~

BUSINESS '(tree planting services.)
A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE ROTARY CLUB FOR SERVICES
IN THE CITY'S TREE PLANTING PROGRAM, read aloud in
its entirety and presented by Mayor Mack to Dr. Mann~
Representative of the Rotary Club.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA,
AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE, ORDINANCE NO. 157,
AS AMENDED, REGARDING PARKING REQUIREMENTS IN
RESIDENTIAL ZONES.

No. 299, ~mending Ordinance No. 157, as amended,
regarding Parking Requirements in Residential Zones,
be passed and adopted. Carried by roll call.

3. ORDINANCE NO. 300 - Second Reading.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE TUSTIN CITY CODE,
RELATIVE TO COMPENSATION OF COUNCILMEN.
Moved by Klingelhofer, seconded by Miller, that
Ordinance No. 300 have second reading by title
only. Carried unanimously.
Moved by Ring, seconded by Klingelhofer, that
Ordinance No. 300, amending the Tustin City Code,
relative to Compensation of Councilmen, be passed
and adopted. Carried by roll call. Ayes: Mack,
Klingelhofer, Coco, Miller, Ring. Noes: None.

4. PARKS AND RECREATIONR COMMISSION-
CONSIDERATION OF APPLICARTS TO FILL VACANCY.
Moved by Ring, seconded by Klingelhofer, that
Resolution No. 806, be passed and adopted,
APPOINTING DONALD A. ECK~RSON, 1292 LANCE DRIVE,
TUSTIM, TO FILL VACANCY ON PARKS AND RECR~TION
COMMISSION, SAID T~RM TO EXPIRE OCTOBER 19, 1967. --
Carried by roll call. Ayes: Mack, Klingelhofer,
Coco, Miller, king° Noes: none. Absent: None.
Mayor Mack, on behalf of the City of Tustin,
wished to thank all. =pplicants who submitted their
names for consideration for vacancy on Parks and
Recreation Commission° Mr. Mack would like to
point out that qualifications of all Applicants
were exceptionally high and basically equal, and
the choice has been determined by area of residence
alone, in order that equal representation would be
insured from all areas.
The Mayor requested that all Applicants be thanked
individually by letter and reques5 for permission
from each,~o retain letter of application on file
for future consideration.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING AND SUBMITTING A
BUDGET FOR EXPENDITURE OF STATE ALLOCATED
ENGINEERING FUNDS.
Moved by Ring, seconded by Coco, that Resolution
No. 804, be read by title only. Carried unanimously~

2. .RESOLUTION NO. 805.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
~-- TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING AND SUBMITTING A
BUDGET FOR EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS ALLOCATED FROM
THE STATE HIGHWAY FUND TO CITIES.
Moved by Coco, seconded by Ring, that Resolution
No. 805, be read by title only. Carried unanimously.
Moved by Klingelhofer, seconded by Coco, that
Resolution No. 805, adopting and submitting a
Budget for Expenditure of Funds Allocated from
the State Highway Fund to Cities, be passed and
adopted. Carried by roll call. Ayes: Mack,
Klingelhofer, Coco, Miller, Ring. Noes: None.

3. QUITCLAIM DEED - TUSTIN VILLAGE COMMUNITY
Moved by Klingelhofer, seconded by Ring, that
Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to execute
Quitclaim Deed to Tustin Village Community
Association. Carried by roll call. Ayes: Mack,
Klingelhofer, Coco, Miller, Ring. Noes: None.
Absent: None."
4. APPROVAL OF DEMANDS
Moved by Klingelhofer seconded by Miller, that
Demands revised in tH~ sum of $20,616.62 be'
approved and paid. Carried.

REPORTS &
OTHER 1. GOVERNOR'S CONFERENCE ON BEAUTIFICATION.
BUSINESS
Moved by Ring, seconded by Klingelhofer, that
attendance of Benjamin ~heelock, Director of
Public Works, at the Governor' s Conference
on Beautification in Los Angeles be allowed,
with cost not to exceed $60.00. Carried
unanimously.
2. RECREATION LEADER EMPLOYMENT.
Moved by Coco, seconded by Ring, that authori-
zation be granted to City Administrator, ~o execute
Off-Campus Project Agreement between Orange County
State College and City of Tustin and transmit
said Agreement to the College. Carried unani_
mously.
Moved by Klingelhofer, seconded by Ring, that
... Mayor Mack be given Permission to leave the State
beuween January 7th and January lOth. Motion
carried.

CORRES_ Moved by Klingelhofer, seconded by Ring, that all
PONDENCE correspondence be received and filed. Carried.
