BACKGROUND: REPORTS NO. 3 10-15-90 Inter - Com The Ad Hoc Child Care Committee is progressing toward the goal of developing a comprehensive report on child care in Tustin. This report will be presented to Parks and Recreation Commission and City Council this winter as scheduled. In addition to defining the scope of the project, the committee has inventoried existing child care resources, and identified unmet current and future needs. The Committee has met July 31, August 28, and September 25, 1990 to accomplish the work completed to date. At the October meeting, the committee will begin to develop recommendations which will define the roles of the private sector as well as public and non-profit service agencies within Tustin's Child Care network. Staff is impressed with the level of commitment and the expertise represented on the committee. The continued diligent work of this group will result in a report which can help in developing a child care network consistent with Tustin's needs.
