APPROVAL OF DEMANDS Recommendation: Approval of subject demands in the amount of $9,184.98 (6/23/89) and $82,267.93 (7/10/89) as recommended by the Finance Department. CERTIFICATE OF CONFORMANCE - GRISET PROPERTY/NEWPORT AVENUE AT OLD IRVINE Councilman Prescott had requested that staff process a Certificate of Conformance for the subject property. Recommendation: Receive and file subject report as recommended by the Community Development Department. DESIGN REVIEW 89-27 A request to construct a 18,200 square foot retail center on a 1.49 acre parcel located at the southeast corner of Newport Avenue and Main Street. Recommendation by Community Development Department: 1. Certify the Negative Declaration as adequate for the project by adoption of the following Resolution No. RDA 89-17 as submitted or revised: RESOLUTION NO. RDA 89-17 - A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, CERTIFYING THE FINAL NEGATIVE DECLARATION AS ADEQUATE FOR DESIGN REVIEW 89-27, INCLUDING REQUIRED FINDINGS PURSUANT TO THE CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT 2. Approve Design Review 89-21 by the adoption of the following Resolution No. RDA 89-18 as submitted or revised: RESOLUTION NO. RDA 89-18 - A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING DESIGN REVIEW 89-27, AUTHORIZING CONSTRUCTION OF A 18,200 .SQUARE FOOT RETAIL SHOPPING CENTER AT 13662 NEWPORT AVENUE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY AGENDA PAGE 1 JULY 17, 1989 CERTIFICATE O~' CONFORMANCE - PROPERTY OWNED BY PAT LESTERv 12932 NEWPORT AVENUE AT IRVINE BOULEVARD Mr. Pat Lester, owner of the Red Hill Center, which is the retail shopping center on the northeast corner of Newport Avenue and Old Irvine Boulevard, has filed a request for issuance of a Certificate of Conformance. Recommendation: Deny, at this time, issuance of a Certificate of Conformance for the property located at 12932 Newport Avenue (Red Hill Center) and authorize staff to work with the property owner to improve 'the site as recommended by the Community Development Department. 8.
