Street Striping Contract - Safety Striping Service, Inc.
ReCommendation:
Request that the Tustin City Council, at their regular meeting of August 7, 1989,
authorize the renewal of the street striping contract with Safety Striping Service,
Inc.
Further request that the contract be amended to reflect an adjustment of 5%. The
Consumer Price Index for the year ending June 30, 1989 is 5.4%.
Discussion.
The City originally entered into a contract with Safety Striping Services, on April 8,
1988. The Public Works Department is satisfied with the level of service being
provided by Safety Striping Services and desires to extend the contract for another
year.
The contractor has agreed to continue the service at the rate stated, adjusted by 5%
for inflation. The current Consumer Price Index as published by the Bureau of Labor
Statistics is 5.4% for the year ending June 30, 1989. The adjusted annual contract
would go from $26,558.00 to
$27,948.65.
