BACKGROUND: As a part of the East Tustin development, certain streets have been constructed with Assessment District Nos. 85-1 and 86-2 funds, and other streets have been constructed, by The Irvine Company as a condition of approval of Tract No. 12763. When these streets were initially constructed, the final wearing course of asphaltic concrete pavement was omitted until such time the adjacent residential/commercial development- ments were substantially complete. This two-stage pavement construction was done to minimize last minute street cuts or construction scars to the paving product. The Irvine Company has request'ed that the city include their overlay program within our contract subject to full reimbursement to the city for their share of the work. DISCUSSION: The following is a list of assessment district streets that are included with the proposed overlay project. * E1 Camino Real between Myford Road and Jamboree Road (AD NO. 85-1) * Bryan Avenue between a point easterly of Browning Avenue and Jamboree Road (AD No. 85-1) * Irvine Blvd. between a point easterly of Ranchwood Road and Jamboree Road (South 1/2 - AD No. 85-1 and North 1/2 - AD 86-2) * Tustin Ranch Road between Bryan Avenue and Irvine Blvd. (AD 85-1) * Myford Road between E1 Camino Real and Irvine Blvd. (AD No. 85-1) The following streets are Irvine Company streets which they have requested be included within the city contract subject to reimbursement to the city by The Irvine Company: * Parkcenter Lane between Bryan Ave. and Tustin Ranch Road * Heritage Way between Tustin Ranch Road and Bryan Avenue * Lagier Way between Tustin Ranch Road and Heritage Way ASPHALTIC CONCRETE OVERLAY - EAST TUSTIN JULY 31, 1989 PAGE 2 The engineer's estimate Assessment District streets Irvine Company streets Total estimate This project will have no financiaI for this overlay project is: $413,000.00 110,000.00 $523,000.00 impact on the city general fund.
